Switch between day, week, and month
Use the segmented control at the top of the Calendar tab to move between Day, Week, and Month views. Week is the default and gives an overview of the current week; Day view shows a single day's sessions and nutrition events in full detail; Month view shows a full grid with dot indicators for each day that has scheduled activity.
Move between dates
Tap the left and right arrows to step between days, weeks, or months. In Month view, tap any date to jump straight to that day's detailed view. Today is highlighted so you can always find your place quickly.
Read the colour dots
Each dot on the calendar represents a scheduled event. Dot colours match sport types, so running and cycling sessions, for example, use different colours, while orange dots indicate nutrition events. This lets you scan a week or month and see the mix of training and nutrition at a glance without opening every day.
Open a session from Calendar
Tap into a specific day to see session cards with the same detail as the Today screen: title, scheduled time, duration, sport type, and status such as upcoming, completed, or missed. From here you can open a session to see its exercises or mark it complete.
Check your activity history
The History tab keeps a timeline of everything you've completed, grouped by week. Each entry shows the sport icon, a completed or missed status, duration and distance where available, and heart rate data if it was synced from a connected service. Tapping an entry opens full details: distance, duration, moving time, elevation gain, and average or max speed and heart rate where available.
Understand sessions versus activities
Sessions are what your coach plans; they show as upcoming, completed, or missed. Activities are recorded workouts, whether they came from a connected service like Strava or were marked complete manually in the app. When a completed activity matches a planned session, PocketCoach links the two together so your history stays coherent rather than showing duplicates.
Sync a device or cloud calendar
In Settings > Connections you can sync your training schedule to Apple Calendar through device permission, Google Calendar, or Outlook Calendar. Once connected and permission is granted, session times appear in that calendar app alongside the rest of your schedule. You can disconnect any calendar connection from the same screen.
Refresh when something looks off
Pull down on the Calendar or Today screen to refresh data manually. If a session or connected calendar event still isn't showing up, check that the relevant connection is active and that PocketCoach has calendar permission in your device settings.
